Several people who attended had not met up with us before, but there were loads of photos to look at and lots of chat about our school days and the ice was soon broken. Also the bar was open for liquid refreshment, alcoholic or otherwise.
Our next event is Sunday lunch, again at the Tally Ho! Sports and Conference Centre on Sunday 27th April 2008. If you would like to be included on the mailing list to join us, you can either e.mail Margery at m.b.vistapine@ic24.net or telephone her 0121 604 4387.
At the AGM/Sunday Lunch back in May it was suggested that the Association should give a little of the money held in it’s bank account to help an educationally based project. Those present agreed that this was a good idea but the committee felt it was correct to ask everyone for their agreement or otherwise. If you feel that this is not a good idea, would you please make your views known to the committee as soon as possible via the secretary by Friday 5th October 2007.
If for any reason you do not wish to receive further information from us, please let me know and I will remove you from the mailing list.
Yours sincerely
The next AGM of the association will be on 29th April 2007 at the TAlly Ho Club Pershore Road Edgbaston. Please try to attend and bring along your memories whilst you can still remember and bring your photos before they end up in a skip.
At previous meetings it was agreed that all individuals will be encouraged to arrange their own events and these would be supported by the Association by including details on mailings etc.It was also suggested that if any member was paying the annual subscription they could upgrade to life membership by paying the balance of the life subscription. ie £30 if you have already paid two annual subs.
The members from the 1940`s wondered if this would be a good investment for them.
